My Meta Farm just held an AMA event with MetaDerby with many participants from both community members. This event was a great opportunity for us to be able to share the project with interested and supportive citizens.
My Meta Farm would like to thank you for everyone’s contribution. This article is a recap of the best Q&A at this AMA, read it if you missed our AMA.
Overview of content AMA event My Meta Farm x MetaDerby
Firstly, this AMA has the reference of two guests: Mr. Trieu Nguyen – CPO (Chief Product Officer) of My Meta Farm, and Mr. MetaMike – Founder MetaDerby. Accordingly, the content of the AMA event has the following contents:

The format of the last AMA was a discussion led and took place on the Discord platform.
The first segment: Introduction of My Meta Farm and MetaDerby
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “Good evening everyone, glad to have the opportunity to join you at the AMA today. Hopefully, through today’s event, we can answer the questions of the beloved community about the My Meta Farm and MetaDerby projects. Furthermore, we are sure that you will have a better understanding of how we can work together in the future”.
About Mr. metaMike: “I’m meta Mike, one of the founders of MetaDerby. I have been full-time in the crypto space since 2017 and have invested at the seed round level, advised, or co-founded numerous projects. Last year I dove into NFTs and naturally, that led into game-fi and p2e games.”.
About Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “Hi citizens, my name is Trieu Nguyen, I’m a blockchain enthusiast with over 6 years of experience in researching and operating in the market. In the past, I have supported the development strategy of several very successful blockchain projects since 2017. I am very honored to be assigned the position of CPO at My Meta Farm project. With my inherent experience and eagerness to learn, I believe that I can accompany the project to become one of the products that many people trust and use.”.
About the introduction of MetaDerby, according to the words of Mr. MetaMike: “MetaDerby is the first free play to earn horse racing metaverse built on Avalanche. Players are able to claim a horse for free to start their gameplay journey with. There will be multiple aspects of the game for different types of players to enjoy: racing, horse breeding, having NFT land ownership, and race result prediction and spectating.
About My Meta Farm, Mr. Trieu Nguyen shared: “My Meta Farm will be a project in continuous development to become a truly 3 Metaverse web product, an endless open world not only for creators, but players of all ages can also indulge in entertainment, socializing and doing business. There are many tools for users to unleash their creativity, help users create digital assets, and make it easy for them to profit from their creativity with just a few simple steps on the marketplace”.
In addition, as informed to you, there will be a very attractive game released next month. With the unique Battle Royale feature, you will surely love it! (You can watch the gameplay video of this mode at room AMA hall), he also mentioned.
Regarding the background of both team’s experience in the blockchain space
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “My Meta Farm is a very fast-growing and strong project with more than 50 enthusiastic and highly specialized members in different fields. The version of the game you have experienced in the MVP and EXPO event versions is a product created by talented members of Eastfog Studio – A famous game development unit in Vietnam with more than 13 years of experience. Combined with that, all blockchain and marketing-related solutions are handled by more than 20 experts in their respective fields.”.
Mr. MetaMike: “The MetaDerby team currently consists of over 20 people. From the product development team to the marketing team. My co-founders are Karm and Muse. Karm previously has experience working at some big tech companies, but before creating MetaDerby, he was the tech lead of binance.us. And our other co-founder Muse was previously with Binance global p2p, which she joined at the start of p2p and helped to grow into what it is today.”.
Another question: “Could you please tell us how the team began the process of creating your project? What was the inspiration behind it?”
Mr. metaMike shared: “The concept for MetaDerby and gameplay logic was the idea of my Co-founder Karm. Karm is an avid gamer and played multiple p2e games and even started his own guild, before coming up with the concept. We discussed it last year, talking about other p2e games, and thought that we could build something with a more sustainable tokenomic model and also improve upon the existing games available.”.
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “My Meta Farm follows The Sandbox’s unique ecosystem model and the success of Animal Crossing’s user growth. They have proven their success by gaining a large number of loyal users within just 3-4 years. In addition to trying to inherit the strengths of previous successful projects, My Meta Farm also creates a product that makes it easier for users to access, by launching versions on both PC and mobile. We believe this will make it more convenient for users wherever they are.
Moreover, with the desire to access new technology and give full ownership of content (avatar, fashion items, real estate…) to users, we have taken advantage of blockchain tech to make My Meta Farm become a product that not only attracts a lot of user interest but is also completely decentralized, where users actually own their digital assets”.
The next question: Recently, do you have any interesting news you want to share?
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “Sure, if you’ve been following My Meta Farm’s media channels lately, you’ll probably be able to see the My Meta Farm team achieving a lot of proud achievements as well as participating in various events.
Last week, when we were honored to be listed in the Future Game Award at the Tokyo Blockchain Game Awards 2022. We were included in the list together with other extremely popular products such as Illuvium, Genopets, Star Atlas…”.
For this achievement, I would like to thank the dear My Meta Farm community, who have always encouraged us to register and participate in this event. Also a few days ago, the product development team of My Meta Farm participated in the all-day event of IMDA & Meta Accelerator Program – Season 4 in Singapore. Through this special event, we understand more about how to build a system with optimized data privacy & consent. We are sure that My Meta Farm users will feel very secure and confident when using our products. Lastly, soon, the My Meta Farm team will participate in the Token2049 event, one of the biggest blockchain/crypto events this year. It is also an opportunity for us to meet and seek cooperation opportunities with more partners. Hope to see you there!”.
Mr. MetaMike: “So the MetaDerby game is still officially in beta mode, which we launched in the first week of May this year. When it was launched, it only had the basic race mode capability, but since then there has been over 900,000 races run. We have added other race modes, we added the free-to-play feature, and just yesterday, we launched a new Gear NFT ticket. The Gear NFTs are random pieces of equipment that you can equip your horse to improve its performance.
We are also developing the mobile version of the game, which is available on a web3 mobile browser, but we are also developing a phone app, and also VR feature, so you can have a more immersive experience. We are also working on making this a cross-chain game.”.

Question 1 for MetaDerby: What products are the team developing?
Mr. MetaMike: “We are also still working on developing the breeding modules and land modules, where land owners can create farms or host their own races and set prize pools and even earn fees for hosting races. I mentioned earlier we are also working on a mobile app with VR support and moving the cross chain. And also we are developing other mini-games that can be incorporated into our MetaDerby metaverse.”.
Question 2 for MetaDerby: What’s the motivation for starting a building project?
Mr. MetaMike: “I also mentioned earlier how we got started with MetaDerby. We are not the first horse racing blockchain game, but we thought that would build something that mimics real life better.
We aren’t technically a P2E game, where users expect earnings for simply owning NFTs. In our game, when you race your horses, you need to pay a race joining fee, and all those fees are paid out to the top placers of that race. So we are not inflating the token economy by just paying out a lot of tokens over time, and we believe that this will make it more sustainable over the long term”.
Question 3 for MetaDerby: Where can I buy your tokens now
Mt. MetaMike: “MetaDerby has a dual token model. DBY Derby is our governance token (which is similar to AXS in axie) and HOOF (similar to SLP in axie). HOOF is our in-game currency token. Both tokens can currently be traded on Trader Joe. We also have NFT tokens. On our site, you can buy mystery horse boxes of different tiers. Opening the box will give you a horse with random stats. And also the recent Gear NFT is still minting, we have sold about half so far (on the last update I got). But there’s no reason not to try our game out, especially since we have the free-to-play feature. Just go to beta.metaderby.com to try it out, and get all the latest info from our Twitter. We wanted to make blockchain games more accessible for everyone. Since many games before need you to pay for expensive NFTs upfront in order to play those games.”.
The third Segment: Q&A from the Community
Question 1: I remember that My Meta Farm has a game hub system. Is it possible for MetaDerby horse racing to occur in MMF?
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “Your idea is very valuable, with the game hub that My Meta Farm is building that can integrate with many platforms, games, worlds… We also want to connect all of our partner’s products with the My Meta Farm game hub. As for MetaDerby, our team is extremely interested in NFT horses and we are planning to build a racetrack in the metaverse. Should we set up a horse betting house, we will consult you as well as discuss it more deeply with the MetaDerby team.”.
Question 2: Why does My Meta Farm keep airdrop NFT? Do you ever consider that airdrop may diminish the value of the collections?
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “As you know, My Meta Farm will be a web3.0 social platform with a variety of content, not only built by the publisher but also contributed by all members of the ecosystem. With such special features, I firmly believe that in the future, the fashion item system will be very diverse and interesting in My Meta Farm.
Back to your question, we want to thank and reward our valuable users with special gifts. And sure, the NFT items you received through previous airdrop events will be very limited. Just imagine in a short time, there are many new players joining My Meta Farm, they will seek unique and limited items. Therefore we believe that the value of NFT will not only remain the value but also will increase in value over time!
Moreover, information that you will find interesting, our NFTs are not only for beautifying the characters, in the future, but NFTs will also have special features in each game/event (eg. such as increasing strength, increasing the number of points earned while playing games…).”
Question 3: What does the winner get in Battle Royal Magic? Is it $MMF, NFT, or honor?
Mr. Trieu Nguyen: “I’m glad you’ve asked, Wanko san. Actually, we have thought and calculated carefully the rewards and user attraction programs for the upcoming Battle Royale version. First of all, I want to emphasize that there will be many extremely attractive events and opportunities for you to receive special gifts from us. Here is one of the pictures taken from my plan, as you can see, there are many ways to get rewards. (Sorry if the image quality is not good, we will announce a plan with better and easier-to-understand graphics as soon as possible).

Before the end of the event, the host of the program asked if Mr. MetaMike can help Mr. Trieu to build a racetrack on My Meta Farm. And of course, the answer of Mr. MetaMike is that MetaDerby definitely has plans to offer that in the future to all users. After that, the AMA ended.
